Traveling through four continents and six countries, The Furious Force of Rhymes is a fascinating look at Hip-Hop as trans-national protest music. Over the course of the eighty-four-minute voyage, the viewer encounters characters as diverse as Israeli Jews, marginalized French Arabs, East German skinhead punks and West African feminists, all of whom share a common musical language. Originating from the ghettos of New York, Rap has found adherents in every country in the world. Recognizing themselves in the oppression of U.S. Blacks, people everywhere have adapted the American street music to their own causes. From the Bronx to Africa, this is their story.

Vicky's (6yrs old girl) mom needs to leave. She got to live with her blind uncle A-Hui. Even though A-Hui cannot see, he is very optimistic and sporty. In 2003, on the eve of the Iraq war, director Lara Lee embarked on a journey to better understand a world increasingly embroiled in conflict and, as she saw it, heading for self-destruction. From IRAN, where the graffiti and rap became tools in fighting back the regime, to BURMA, where monks acting in the tradition of Gandhi take on a dictatorship, moving on to BRAZIL, where musicians reach out to slum kids and transform guns into guitars, and ending in PALESTINIAN refugee camps in LEBANON, where photography, music, and film have given a voice to those rarely heard.

Nemesis

They were the glamorous face of every major cigarette brand in America. In the present day, 'Piano Fingers' finds Howard and May entombed inside a decaying house filled with memorabilia from the peak of their career. Once aware of her deteriorating condition, Howard attempts to rekindle their love through the music they wrote and performed in their youth, before it is too late.

This film is about one family. There's nothing too special about this family except they happened to live during the period of World War II. The point of the story is not to show how these people are unique individuals, but the opposite – the value of family and how one can’t survive without others to rely on. The most unbearable siege sucks the last drop of life out of the once warm family. The true strength of oneself is reached in the most difficult times, when it is needed most. Nowadays people forget sometimes how easy and bright their lives are. With this movie, “Sharfik” we want to remind the world that there were times with much greater problems.
