The 3rd New Beijing International Movie Festival - 中外青年电影交流网 continues throughout the Summer and Fall of 2009! We will be presenting all kinds of innovative new foreign and Chinese movies, with filmmakers present to discuss their work. In June we are hosting the 48 Hour Film Project, in which Beijing based filmmakers on a tight time limit will create imaginative short movies for international competition and your viewing delight! Also we will present movies with CNEX Salon Cafe throughout July! Check our schedule page to find out what's playing when. We'll be screening old favorites, and presenting new works yet to be released on the festival circuit. Coming to our events is the best way to make friends in the Beijing moviemaking community. Come and be part of our Film Fest!
December 2007, June 2008, and again in March 2009, we've hosted our series of screenings at a number of conveniently located venues around the inner ring roads. The selected works are always ones never-before seen in Beijing- created with newness by Chinese and Western directors set to intrigue and inspire audiences aplenty. We will be open to further submissions at regular intervals, and hope to be pleasantly surprised by what we receive! Nearly all submissions are welcome, since we even have a special awards category for the worst of the lot! We also welcome volunteers to join our team anytime and take responsibility for creating an amazing festival full of fun movies and their creators!
