This is the part where we discuss pricing. Our regular monthly screening events are all free. Dec. 17~23, we charged money at the door. June 1~8 we didn't. Running a full week of events with promotion, awards, premieres, translation + subtitling, and everything else that goes with the territory justifies the value of attending a quality indie movie screening. We're not profiting. What we charge goes to cover venue, equipment, and promotion costs.

None of our events will ever be prohibitively expensive. This film festival is about communication and friendship between the Chinese independent moviemaking community and their foreign counterparts. We aren't pricing students out of the screenings!

这儿我们讨论一下关于票价的问题。我们每月常规的电影放映活动是免费的。但在12月17日至23日期间，我们会在入场处售票，要求凭票入内。8月1日至8日期间, 没售票。 整整一周的独立电影展映还包括宣传，颁奖，影片首映以及字幕翻译，我们卖票并不是为了赚钱只是为了支付场地，设备以及宣传广告的费用。

没有一场展映的票价是高得让大家付不起的，这个电影节的目的只是为了给中国和外国的独立电影导演，观众提供一个交流和合作的平台，我们不会向学生索要高价。
